Enchanted Rock is an enormous pink granite pluton batholith located on 1643 acres just north of Fredericksburg. It is most known to rock climbers for its great routes and bouldering. In addition to rock climbing, it is a great spot for hiking and camping. If you are there overnight you’ll be mesmerized by the star gazing possibilities and the groaning of the granite dome as it cools.

– Adult entrance fee is $7/day and children 12 and under are free.

– Primitive Back Pack Campsites are $14/night plus entrance fee. 4 people per site. (20 sites) Must hike in 1-3 miles. No water available. No ground fires permitted.

– Walk-in Campsites are $18/night plus entrance fee. 8 people per site. (35 sites) Picnic table, outdoor grill, tent pad, fire ring, lantern post, water nearby, restrooms and showers nearby.
